| As part of its decarbonisation plan, known as Low Cal, Aluminium Dunkerque rolled out the ‘2 Tonnes’ workshops to all its staff last March. This awareness-raising initiative, focused on climate issues, reached nearly 500 employees from across all areas of the company.
The aim: to make climate-related issues accessible to everyone through practical, participatory workshops free from guilt-tripping rhetoric. By sharing everyday situations and realistic courses of action, participants discovered how certain habits can help reduce their carbon footprint whilst generating tangible benefits: improved quality of life, positive health impacts, savings, and even contributing to the company’s environmental commitments. More than just a training course, “2 Tonnes” is above all an invitation to better understand the challenges of the transition and to collectively identify simple and accessible levers for action. It is a way for Aluminium Dunkerque to engage its teams in the long term in building a more responsible industry. |
