| Last week, Aluminium Dunkerque took part in the second Calais edition of the “Patrons dans ma ville” event, an initiative organised by the Club Les entreprises s’engagent, FACE Côte d’Opale and the CCI Littoral Hauts-de-France, in the presence of the Sub-Prefect of Calais.
The event brought together around thirty young jobseekers from priority neighbourhoods with seven local companies, with a simple aim: to encourage direct exchanges, build connections and open up dialogue about careers and professional opportunities. The dynamic and accessible format allowed each company to present its business, its roles and potential career paths in a few minutes, before moving on to more informal discussions. These discussions were essential for sharing experiences, answering questions and, above all, restoring confidence in young people seeking a professional future. Aluminium Dunkerque was represented by Alain Vercoutre, a mechanical maintenance operator, who came to share his hands-on experience and highlight the diversity of careers within the industry. Through this participation, Aluminium Dunkerque reaffirms its commitment to inclusion, local employment and promoting career paths within the industry. |
