Aluminium Dunkerque has been asked to appear in a short film about climate change in the Dunkirk area. The aim of the film, produced by the CAPA Entreprises agency, is to give a voice to the residents and businesses of the Communauté Urbaine de Dunkerque (Dunkirk Urban Community) so that they can tell the story of their experiences in the face of the many challenges posed by water.
As part of the press trip they organised to Dunkirk on 12 September, the RTE teams wanted to offer a visit to an industrial site and chose Aluminium Dunkirk. We welcomed journalists from Les Echos, Le Figaro, Libération and AFP to our site. The aim was to illustrate the challenges of decarbonisation, which is considerably increasing the region’s electricity needs.
