On Thursday 23 January, Aluminium Dunkerque celebrated the New Year with its teams at lunchtime and its partners in the evening.

On Tuesday 14 January, Aluminium Dunkerque inaugurated its new storage building for internal and external foundry scrap. This building will enable the sector to remelt scrap quickly and feed Furnace 8 for the production of casting alloys. This is the first phase of the recycling project, with the second phase corresponding to the start-up of the new furnace in April 2025.

On Wednesday 18 December, we hosted a DFCG (Association Nationale des Directeurs Financiers et de Contrôle de Gestion) afterwork on the following theme: ‘(Re)industrialisation: roles and challenges for SMEs on the Dunkirk coast’.

During Family Day on 28 September, the children and teenagers in attendance were invited to take part in the creation of a fresco, under the guidance of artist Yori.

Thanks to our partnership with the Fondation du Dunkerquois Solidaire, we have donated computer equipment to 6 local associations: computer screens, CPUs and mobile phones.

At Aluminium Dunkerque’s initiative, 9 manufacturers and Ecosystème D have joined forces to create a series of live radio broadcasts from the 40th Dunkerque Motor Show. The aim was to illustrate the concept of decarbonisation, which is somewhat abstract for the average citizen, through everyday products.

The theme of this year’s Trophées de l’Industrie ceremony, organised by the Société Industrielle Nord de France at the Cité des Echanges on 14 November, was ‘Responsible and innovative industry: accelerating the transition to tomorrow’.

As part of the Dunkirk leg of the Climat Libé Tour, Guillaume de Goÿs, President of Aluminium Dunkerque, represented industry at a round table discussion on green industry, alongside Clément Beaune, former Minister of Transport, and Aurélie Brunstein, head of heavy industry at the Climate Action Network.
