We have been talking about the Crystal project for several months now, and the first aluminium purifier has finally been installed in the foundry. This equipment, operated in collaboration with Dynamic Concept, will enable us to produce high-purity aluminium by reducing the content of chemical elements other than aluminium in the liquid metal produced by the electrolysis process.
On 17 September, the Hauts-de-France Region was in the spotlight at the French Pavilion during the Osaka World Expo. A delegation of around twenty industrialists, including Simon Moka for Aluminium Dunkerque, as well as representatives from the worlds of culture and higher education, accompanied Xavier Bertrand, President of the Region.
To cool its compressors, Aluminium Dunkerque has replaced traditional cooling towers with adiabatic towers. This innovative system operates in a closed circuit, significantly reducing water loss through evaporation. The result: a 75% reduction in water consumption in this area.
