A 64% reduction in our water consumption since 2019

These achievements are underpinned by concrete investments and optimisations: the modernisation of equipment through the installation of four adiabatic towers in the maintenance area, enabling water savings of up to 90% for cooling the plant’s air compressors; structured management of consumption; the automation of drainage systems; and the enhancement of the reliability of treatment facilities.

This comprehensive approach enables action to be taken on both industrial uses – essential to manufacturing processes – and sanitary and service uses.

Furthermore, Aluminium Dunkerque is developing initiatives to promote biodiversity and exploring innovative solutions for water reuse. These initiatives form part of an ambitious roadmap driven by the 2026–2030 environmental strategy!
